What is the Best Value Metal Detector?

Hand held metal detectors can range anywhere from about $45 to $450 or more. So which one is the best bang for the buck? Unfortunately that isn’t exactly an easy question to answer, since it all depends on your personal preference, and what kind of treasure you will be searching for with it.

For starters, are you going to just be looking for common treasures such as old coins, gold rings, and pocket knives etc.? Just remember that you don’t need the most expensive model; it is far more important to find one that is simply comfortable to hold onto (and use) for long periods of time.
